This book contains a number of ideas that I had to learn the hard way. In college I developed a number of defensive techniques to simplify my work so that I could get it all done. Working four jobs and carrying 15-18 units per semester did not leave much time for studying. I had to have methods that saved time but still got the job done. Some of those ideas are in this book, modified over 25 years of teaching experience. The DVD has 12 lectures which teach, explain, and motivate. The DVD is a supplement, not a replacement for the book.
